Art Deco French Brass Birdseye Maple Marquetry Desk Letter Holder.
Art Deco, circa 1950s wood inlaid desk letter holder in the style of Jean-Michel Frank; he was an inspired designer much associated with the Art Deco movement. His modern, minimalist aesthetic is reflected in this beautiful piece. Wonderful detail is expressed through the tight geometric pattern inlay double banding on all sides. The letter holder stands on 4 brass button feet. The brass brackets are created and arranged in graduating order in ornate metalwork.
Condition:
No losses of any kind. Slight bending wear of brass due to use. Overall condition is very good.
