About the Item

This is a very elusive and rare desk cigar-cutter and match-box holder created in Germany during the art deco period, back in 1920.The amazing piece is very decorative and has been crafted in the stylized shape of the German LZ-4 Zeppelin, with parts made up in zinc coated steel and glass. The Zeppelin in mounted by screws in four curved elements on a cut glass base, featuring a cigar cutter, a match-box holder and a cigar rest. The rudder at the rear of the airship can be unscrewed for emptying. The Zeppelin LZ 4 This was a German experimental airship constructed under the direction of Ferdinand von Zeppelin.
