19th Century French Dore Gilt Gold Metal Double Inkwell Set

About the Item

19th-century dore gold stag double ink well is an elegant and ornate piece crafted with a sense of luxury typical of the era. The glass Jars with delicate tops make this piece exceptional, and rare to have all of the pieces intact. Dore gold refers to a type of gilded finish, often achieved through a gold leaf or a gold-plating process, which gives the piece a rich, lustrous appearance. The stag motif, common in antique desk accessories, symbolizes nobility and strength, possibly reflecting the high status of its owner. This is an exceptional piece.
