Antique Cut Glass and Brass Crown-Top Inkwell, Early 20th Century England, circa 1900–1920 A decorative and well-crafted antique inkwell featuring a heavy moulded glass body with bold architectural form and an ornate crown-shaped hinged lid in polished brass. The glass is shaped with vertical facets and curved shoulders, creating a strong, symmetrical profile, while the lid is adorned with a stylised coronet design — likely intended to evoke a sense of formality and grandeur suited to a fine desk. The brass collar is securely fitted and the hinged lid opens smoothly to reveal the original internal aperture, which may once have housed a liner. The piece is both practical and decorative, offering a tactile and aesthetically appealing addition to a period writing desk, study, or collector’s cabinet. Dimensions: Height: 7 cm Base: 5.5 cm x 5.5 cm Condition: In good antique condition with minor wear consistent with age and use.
