Calamaio da wunderkammer in silver plate di epoca vittoriana che presenta al centro del vassoio un albero di palma dal tronco tagliato su cui poggia adagiato su quattro foglie di palma un uovo di emù australiano sormontato a sua volta da un emù da fusione in metallo argentato. Ai lati del tronco sono raffigurati un emù e una pianta dalle foglie larghe. Il calamaio di forma rettangolare finemente decorato i bordi con angoli arrotondati è stato realizzato in silver plate o lega argentata, e poggia su quattro piedini. Sulla base sono raffigurati: due uomini primitivi in atto di cacciare con un boomerang in mano, 3 canguri e uno emù, due boccette porta inchiostro e il porta penne, tutte le figure sono state realizzate in metallo da fusione e argentato . Manifattura inglese per il mercato australiano databile nella seconda metà del XIX secolo. Buono stato, una boccetta ha una leggera sbocconcellatura e piccola crepa sull’uovo.
