Beautiful English Tunbridgeware inkstand rosewood desk accessory. Very detailed inlays all around this piece. Made in England, circa 1870. Has a place for 2 inkwells (missing), slotted areas for pen(s) and a lidded box for wax. Tunbridgeware is a form of highly decorative inlaid woodwork characteristic of Tonbridge and the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent.
