About the Item
925 sterling silver inkwell in the shape of a cathedral.
The tray plate has been completely hand-hammered from a raw 925 silver plate.
The inkwell is raised from the support surface by 4 round feet.
A beaded border has been soldered around the shaped edge.
3 turned rings have been positioned in the center which contain the ink holders and the bell.
The ink holders have removable glass inside, are cylindrical and are embellished with a beaded border equal to that of the tray but slightly smaller.
The lids are hinged.
The central bell is of a classic shape with torchon workmanship.
Made entirely by hand in the second half of the 20th century in the ARVAL ARGENTI silversmith's workshop

The inkstand is composed of a shaped tray supported by 4 rocailles feet, modeled along the entire profile by finely embossed and chiselled volutes, leaves and shells.
Above the tray are two ink holders and two pen holders with spiral workmanship and highly embossed vegetable decorations.
A bell in the center of the object rests on a FASTIGIO pierced with flowering vines.
