XXI Century Italian Sterling Silver Inlstand
About the Item
Modern style sterling silver inkwell.
The inkwell was made from a raw sheet of 925 silver and hand-shaped to form a slightly rounded rectangle.
A double-line border was soldered on the outer edge both for finishing and to strengthen the object.
Four semi-spheres were soldered under the tray to raise the inkwell from the surface where it rests.
On the left side, a special seat was soldered to accommodate a large crystal ink holder. A polished ring was placed on the ink holder and completed with a large smooth round cap.
On the right side, a removable pen holder was placed to facilitate cleaning of the entire object.
