Antique American Sterling Silver Engraved Lidded Box with Heraldic Crest, c.1890–1910 A finely engraved antique sterling silver lidded box, likely American, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The piece is richly decorated with scrolling floral designs to all sides and lid, and features a detailed heraldic crest bearing the motto "Remember and Forget Not", along with intertwined initials below. Stamped STERLING to the underside, indicating American origin. Though unmarked by maker, the quality of the engraving and construction is consistent with the output of reputable silversmiths of the period such as Gorham or Whiting. Dimensions: 10 cm x 10 cm x 8.5 cm (height) Weight: 114.1 grams Condition: Very good antique condition. Minor surface marks in line with age and use. The lid sits securely and closes soundly. A decorative and collectible piece of antique American silver with heraldic and historical interest.
