About the Item

This cast iron trivet is particular Because it was created to put braises inside. This type of model represented a step forward for the laundress because it allowed to iron longer without having to rest the iron on the stove. To allow the embers to be added to the iron, a reservoir and a grill were added inside. A chimney was used to evacuate the smoke from the embers which gives this iron this particular look.
