Dice Aluminum Metal Sculpture or Paper Weight Mid-Century Modern, German, 1970s

About the Item

A german vintage aluminum paperweight or sculpture featuring a dice balanced on one corner. Art Deco style, inspired by the 1930s designs of Edgar Brandt. A minimalist dice sculpture which would grace any desk. On the upper side of the dice are the numbers four, five, and one each shown with the traditional pattern of 'pips'. The numbers six, two and three are on the underside. The pips are sunken, concave. The base has a wide bevelled edge, screwed from the underside, but not fixed, so you can turn the dice around. An eye-catching and practical dice paperweight, generally in lovely vintage condition. The plate is generally in good vintage condition. A nice addition to your room or just a display item on your desktop.
