English Purple Amethyst Paperweight Decorative Object
About the Item
A very beautiful and substantial English 'star' optic purple amethyst and clear crystal paperweight or decorative object, from acclaimed crystal house, Webb Corbett, circa mid to late-20th century, England. This multi-faceted paperweight has a purple/amethyst layer of crystal, skillfully 'cut-to-clear' and polished smooth. The facets and the star cut base reflect light effectively and beautifully, offering a dynamic view from all angles. With authentication mark on underside base area, an etched 'crown', shown in last image. Paperweights are a traditional desk accessory but also have a place on side table, cocktail table, bookshelf, or in an office or library setting, etc. Piece also makes a nice gift. Dimensions: 2.88" Diameter x 2" Height.
