About the Item

Abstract biomorphic plaster sculpture called 'Mediterrania' by acclaimed Italian sculptor Gino Bogoni (1921 - 1990). Near its final stages, the work is uncompleted and includes a signed letter of authentication. Gino Bogoni was born on 7th July 1921, in Verona and trained as an artists apprentice from the age of 13. At the age of just 17 he won his first prize at the Agonali dell'Arte in 1938 and went on to build his name as an artist of note, with over 200 exhibitions spanning 50 years.
