About the Item

“BRTL/Still” – Handcrafted Geometric Concrete Functional Sculpture by Manolo Menéndez. A striking centerpiece or functional sculpture, BRTL/Still is hand-cast in solid concrete by Spanish designer Manolo Menéndez. Inspired by minimalist architecture and brutalist principles, this geometric object merges raw industrial materials with refined form—perfect for modern interiors, galleries, or curated living spaces. Menéndez’s process begins with precision mold-making in concrete—each form is destroyed to reveal a unique, unrepeatable volume. His work explores the fundamental geometry of right angles and clean volumes, marrying construction techniques with sculptural purity. About the Designer Born in Tenerife in 1983, Manolo Menéndez is a trained photographer and filmmaker whose artistic practice evolved into experimental model-making and geometric sculpture. After debuting a wood series in 2015, he launched the Unvolumen concrete project in 2020—blending brutalist aesthetics with a minimalist design ethos. His pieces have been exhibited internationally, from Istanbul and Rotterdam to Madrid and Barcelona.
