An exception French Art Deco Bronze Statue of Pheasant on Marble Base, circa 1920s. Features the flamboyant bird in a more relaxed mood, perhaps scouting for food while keeping a wary eye. Such a depiction was in keeping with the sleek, modernistic look ushered in by the Art Deco movement and was reflected in everything from art to architecture. The sculpture is mounted to an off-white marble base with beige, amber and gold hues. A stately sculpture that will display well in any setting.
