19th Century French Carved Marble Dove Sculpture with Glass Eyes Signed Torrini

About the Item

Decorate a shelf or a man's office desk with this stately antique marble dove sculpture. Created in France circa 1880, and carved of variegated marble, the figure depicts a proud bird standing on integral rectangular base with his head turned; the sculpture is further signed by the artist, N. Torrini. The avian sculpture dressed with glass eyes, features wonderful detailed carvings especially through the plumage and talons. The large sculpture is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a beautiful patinated finish and different shades of grey and white marble. 12"W x 5.25"D x 10" H
