19th Century Polychrome Sculpture of a Roman Woman

About the Item

Italian original painted plaster sculpture of a young Roman woman in nice gilt dress and flower wreath. This well sculptured smiling lady could have been what its called "Grand Tour" Souvenir from the period of the end of 19th century when rich people used to travel to Italy, Greece, Egypt, France etc to collect memories of ancient old place and Empires. They usually bought objects that has become high value collectibles in our days. Small damages are present as it can easily be seen, please read conditions report further down. The black/green color on the girl is an imitation to bronze, which was a much more expensive material back in time. This object is "untouched" which means the original paint and patina is still the same since they manufactured in the 19th Century. We think that original "felling" on our pieces is very important for our customers.
