About the Item

A wonderful and most unusual desk-top accessory, a novelty paper or note clip in the from of a very handsome Greyhound. Figured in cast English brass, the dog has his crossed paws on a ball and has detail such as collar with loose movable leash ring. The side of his jaw reveals the pin where the jaw can be opened to hold a letter or note, it makes a perfect business card holder. The figure sits on a solid marble plinth supported by four spherical brass feet. Excellent condition with minor wear commensurate with age and wear. Victorian in era and dating to c.1860. 6 3/4" x 3 1/4" x 3 1/2". Item ID: 41010.
