Art Deco Cracked Ceramic Statuette by Charles Lemanceau for Saint-Clément

About the Item

Art Deco sculpture the "roar deer and its doe in the high meadows" in cracked ceramic designed and signed on the base by Charles Lemanceau for the Parisian department store "Le Bon Marché" in 1929 created in the workshops of Saint Clément. (see manufacturer's stamp inside) This piece will be in the Saint Clément Catalog of 1925. Charles Lemanceau is one of the great French animal artists of the Art Deco era.
