About the Item

Extremely dramatic, full scale. work of art that combines minimalist with whimsy. We believe this, one of a kind, outdoor sculpture was created by Listed New York Metal Sculptor, William Bill Heise. (1942-2011) Vintage, whimsical, modernist, 62" Tall, Iron Outdoor Heron Sculpture, is composed of found iron parts, including a wrench, horseshoes and a can opener, all fused together to create a dynamic and joyful, minimalist sculpture. This is an early work by the San Francisco and Vermont Heise Metal Studios, which are still operational today. Sporting a oversized long beak, a black iron silhouetted feathered frame and kind, loving eyes, it adds a delightful joyous accent to your pool or botanical decor The sculpture's slim long legs converge into horseshoe feet, and rest upon a sturdy steel rectangular base Heise is known to sign, some of his works, on the base of the sculpture. His signature i consists of letters made from the same black molten metal of the base We could not find this type of signature on the base of this piece The sculpture weighs 75-100 lbs approximately. it can be picked up in St Petersburg, Florida or delivered to your location by freight Please check photo with dimensions, as there are so many different ways to measure the bird. It has been outside, in front of our place, making people stop to enjoy its clever silhouette and bringing smiles to adults and children A wonderful modernist sculpture, perfect for your happy place !
