Cenedese Murano Sommerso Uranium Blue Yellow Green Italian Art Glass Bird Bowl
About the Item
Beautiful, vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso glowing Uranium yellow over blue Italian art glass dove bird sculptural bowl. The bird is attributed to the Cenedese company, and attributed to designer Antonio da Ros. Similar to Galliano Ferro designs as well. The bowl looks like a "Dove of Peace", a symbol used by many artists throughout the years. The yellow and blue glass optically mix and you can see green in areas of the bowl. The piece has a high Uranium / UV reactive glass content, and you can see how it lights up in a bright neon green color under a black light. Would make a great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Great item for the collector of Uranium / Vaseline glass. midcentury era. Measures 10” long x 6 3/8” wide x 3 1/4" high.
