About the Item

An Italian animalier bronze casting sculpture of a female roe deer, standing on an oval shaped bronze base and signed Buonapace near the left hind leg by the Italian artist Francesco Buonapace (Lecce 1902- Bologna 1975). This animal sculpture is a lovely Art Deco decorative item for any interior. Good condition, great dark brown original patina, this animal casting bronze sculpture is a young work of the artist, comes from a private collection of Milan and dates back to the circa 1930s. On the oval bronze base, behind the left hind leg you find the engraved of Buonapace. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago requires a governative license for export called Belle Arti. The shipping may require additional 2-3 handling weeks to require and get the license according to the final destination of the artwork.
