Hand-sculpted vintage rhinoceros. Dating from around the 1980s.
The sculpture is carved in a very heavy and dense exotic wood (not ebony).
The surface has been ebonized (originally) to give it a modern, dark and classy look.
Meticulously hand-carved with utmost precision, the piece is full of realistic details. On the other hand, its general shape gives it a Botero style.
Would make an interesting point in any home.
