English 1930s Painted Lead Animal Sculpture Depicting a Squirrel Eating a Nut

About the Item

An English painted lead animal sculpture of a squirrel from the first half of the 20th century. This sculpture features a sweet squirrel with a nicely weathered appearance due to its presence outdoors, voraciously eating what is most likely a nut. Propped on his back paws, with its tail raised, the squirrel's joy of having found sustenance is quite communicative. Its aged patina adds to the charm and authenticity of the piece. Placed anywhere indoors or outdoors, this English 1930s small animal sculpture will be a great decorative accent.

Tall French Sculptural Iron Abstract Art Piece, circa 1930s-1940s
Located in Atlanta, GA
A tall French sculptural iron art piece in a motif of rings from the 1930s-1940s. This unique sculpture from France, standing at approximately 6.6 feet in height, has a playful abstract vertical form made up of a series of rings, with circles clustering together making ball-like formations at the top and lower ends, and supported with a larger ring-shaped base. Within the center of this column-like structure, more circular rings are set in horizontal fashion, appearing to be suspended, reminiscent of steps connecting to upper and lower sections. This piece has been constructed of iron and has a wonderfully aged patina. This whimsical French sculpture would not only be fantastic on a patio, but also a great way to fill an otherwise bare corner in your home with great height, texture and conversational...
