Glazed Ceramic Bear Sculpture by Carl Johan Bonnesen, Denmark
About the Item
Carl Johan Bonnesen, 1868–1933
Rare and impressive unique sculpture of two courting bears, crafted in glazed ceramic with a striking copper-rich glaze featuring vivid tonal variation. The glaze clearly references classical Song dynasty ceramics, reinterpreted in a bold and distinctly Nordic expression.
