A vintage Chinese ceramic life size heron bird sculpture from the Mid-20th Century, with green glaze, blue accents and textured base. We have more ceramic heron sculptures available in different colors, please see for instance image number 16 to view a white one. Created in China during the midcentury period, this ceramic sculpture depicts a heron bird standing on a bunch of reed grass. Hunched over, the bird is covered with a delightful green glaze contrasted by the presence of his blue beak, legs and brown glass eyes. His wings tucked to the back along his body, he is carefully looking at the ground. The finesse of his details particularly seen on the plumage and grass and his green and blue glaze, will make this vintage Chinese life Size heron ceramic sculpture an excellent addition to any home, particularly placed in a garden or under a covered patio.
