Mid-Century Modern Murano Italian Art Glass Parrots Sculpture
About the Item
Huge red and yellow hand blown pulled Murano glass sculpture of two parrots perched on glass branches. Italy, 1960s.
The sculpture is well executed with the Sommerso and Murrine glass techniques and Fine detailing. The bodies are made in yellow glass with red murrines applied while the heads are smoke glass and the beaks and the crests are in red color.
The parrots are resting on clear glass branches that stand up in a heavy and solid clear glass base with lime green leaves.
Mint condition.
