This incredibly well carved barn owl from the midcentury era clearly was well loved by it's previous owners, because after all those years it still is in magnificent condition. Owl sculptures of this period and especially of this size and material are very rare and to find one in perfect condition, truly felt like a blessing. All hand carved out of a snowy white alabaster this owl is even more beautiful, but have you also noticed how especially the back of the head and the wings of this stunning owl look extra detailed? This is because the master carver, whom created this unique owl, picked a rock of alabaster that would guarantee that the black veins that were in that spot of the rock would do exactly what they do at the back of this owl. The original and inlaid pair of piercing yellow and black glass eyes with their contrasting colors make this meaningful work of art stand out even more. Also, because these eyes seem to follow you no matter from what angle you look at them. Because of the owl's deeper meaning (as the international symbol of wisdom and learning) this work of art is the ideal decorative piece on a desk or shelve or in a bookcase of a student or a professor or anyone else having to do with teaching or learning or writing.
