Murano Sommerso Green Yellow Birds Blue Tail Uranium Italian Art Glass Sculpture
About the Item
Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso green yellow, with blue tails Italian art glass birds sculpture. Attributed to the Salviati company. The birds are made with some Uranium glass, and they glow under a black light (see photos). The blue tails also glow. The 2 birds are perched one above the other, in an open circle, with attached taupe colored sprouting leaves. The entire sculpture sits on a large base. Would make a great display piece on any table. Mid-century era. Measures 12" tall x 7 1/2" long x 5 1/2" wide.
