Rooster Figure "Chantecler" by Clovis Edmond Masson Beautiful bronze rooster signed by the artist Clovis Edmond Masson, with a marble base. Clovis-Edmond Masson, born in Paris on March 7, 1838 and died in 1913, French animal sculptor. Clovis Masson is a student of the French sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye. He specializes in animal representation. As materials he mainly uses plaster, wax or bronze. From 1867 he exhibited regularly at the Paris Salon until 1881.
