About the Item
Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown Sommerso red, and gold flecks Italian art glass baby bird figurine. Attributed to the Seguso Vetri D'Arte workshop. A drawing of a similar figure is in their archives (see last photo). The bird has a bright red color, from the head towards the neck. The rest of the body is clear, but is also profusely covered in gold leaf throughout. The wings and beak are made in clear glass. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, desk or curio cabinet. Mid-century era. Measures 5 1/2" tall x 3 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide
