A fine French bronze figural rooster sculpture.
Entitled "Coq Français Chantant" (French Rooster Crowing).
Modeled by Auguste-Nicolas Cain (b. 1821 - b. 1894), the renowned French Animalier sculptor.
Cast by the Susse Freres Foundry.
With a warm, red-brown patina.
Marked for Cain to the front of the plinth and with a foundry mark to the reverse of the plinth.
Simply a wonderful French bronze sculpture!
