About the Item
A very unusual novelty Austrian bronze sculpture of a monkey trying to feed their young with a large spoon dating from around 1900. The figure is well modeled and portrays a large seated monkey wearing a belt holding a young monkey wrapped in a cloth and trying to feed it with a spoon while the young monkey tries to resist. The figure has a wonderful age patina and is not marked.
