About the Item

A classic example of Art Deco design heavily influenced by Cubism, this ceramic sculpture depicts two highly stylized Chinese figures in a curving rowboat upon an Art Deco sea, all enrobed in a creamy glaze with a subtle craquelure effect. This piece was produced by Primavera, a ceramics workshop established by Le Printemps department store in, Paris. The bottom is well marked
