About the Item

Decorate a gentleman's study or office with this antique earthenware figure. Sculpted in France, circa 1880, the terracotta statue depicts a farmer raking and harvesting his crops. The statue stands atop a hand carved circular base depicting multiple farmers harvesting crops. The statue is in good condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich patinated clay finish. Left arm was repaired with minor scarring. See detailed images. Measures: 9"W x 8.25"D x 23.5"H.
