After Jean Louis Grégoire (France, 1840-1890) A Charming French 19th-20th Century Patinated Spelter Figure of "The Animal Charmer", depicting a standing scantily clad young boy playing the flute or pipe, in a brown patina. Raised on a Rouge Royal marble base. Signed: L. Gregoire and bearing the foundry seal. Circa: Paris, 1900. Measures: Overall height: 22 1/4 inches (56.5 cm) Base depth: 7 3/8 inches (18.8 cm) Base width: 9 inches (22.9 cm).
