About the Item

Contemporary Chalk Pit Cauliflower - Marcia Bennett-Male. Marcia Bennett-Male is London born and based, with a workshop at Thames-Side Studios in SE18. A stone carver who uses all things culinary, her work was a natural fit to bring a three dimensional angle to our Vintage Supermarket. Her love of using recycled stone, sometimes from old building sites, adds further layers of meaning. The unique sculpture was carved by hand in chalk and mounted on a Bath limestone base. There are additional inspirational images from our Vintage Supermarket, showing the contemporary maker and their works created for our event – these are additional images for inspiration, the listing is for the specific product only as described.
