Early 20th century London News advertising figure We share what we love, and we love this rare example of a first quarter English London News advertising figure in the form of a beefeater. Produced by Pytram Limited of New Malden Surrey England. This figure is made of composite form and would have sat on the shop counter. A rare example in this condition and size. unusual fully articulated Edwardian prosthetic leg. With leather hip support sprung loaded knee joints and flexible foot. Made from leather, metal, and wood. Size of inches: H 20” x W 8” x D 8” Condition: Aged Origin: United Kingdom Age: 1920 - 1940 Completely solid in structure and form, Natural aging across all surfaces. With an aged, crackled surface caused due to age and drying out of the material. Paint loss and faded in areas as shown. Overall, very good condition considering its age.
