Exceptional allegory of death in carved bone. Depiction of a leper wrapped in a stole. Southern Germany, Tyrol, 18th-19th century. Superb quality of carving, showing no signs of mechanical tool use. The base is later but from the same period. Exquisite detailing, particularly in the face and drapery. Height: 15 cm.
