Faberge's "The Big Egg Hunt N.Y." April 2014, #65 Egg by Artist Mary Mattingly

About the Item

One of the famed Egg Sculptures from New York City’s celebrated Big Egg Hunt. The Sculpture features a great Mirrored Chrome Optic of Stylized Human Figures which reflect in the central sphere. The public art display April 1-18 in 2014 featuring an interactive contest for a charity auction with eggs by numerous artists and designers. This interesting one in curved openwork chrome bands with figures of dancing children and a colored sphere inside mirroring the bands of images, hidden by Saatchi & Saatchi for the egg hunt before the auction. The American artist (b.1978 CT) is an interdisciplinary artist and is known for public artworks. Two printed plastic plaques with details are mounted on the black painted pedestal. Dimensions: H. 67", base 23 3/4 x 23 3/4" Condition: Please see all detail photos. One of the figures has become separated from the Egg and will need to be welded or epoxied back on. There are scratches to some of the chrome bands, some chips and wear to the pedestal however they do not detract from the fantastic presentation.
