Coppia di Figure in Porcellana Policroma di Giuseppe Cappè raffiguranti Contadina e Contadino risalenti agli Anni 60 raffiguranti l’allegoria dell’abbondanza, due personaggi astanti con abiti agresti appoggiati ad un capitello bianco, decorato con motivi fogliati, posti su una base circolare dorata. La contadina tiene un cesto di vimini colmo d’uva, sinonimo di abbondanza, mentre il contadino porta un fardello colmo di frutta legato ad un bastone. In ottime condizioni a prescindere da una minima mancanza sulla punta del bastone. Sulle basi dorate, la firma del coroplasta G.Cappè e la N coronata.Sono state reallizzate con dettagli molto particolareggiati, intorno agli anni ’60 dall’artista italiano Giuseppe Cappè.
Giuseppe Cappè, nato a Cittiglio, Varese, nel 1921 e morto a Lomagna, Lecco nel maggio 2008 ha dedicato la sua vita alla creazione e realizzazione di opere in porcellana, apprezzate in tutto il mondo specialmente negli Stati Uniti. Parte dei suoi lavori sono ora in molte collezioni private e musei.
Cappè è un artista che ha tratto ispirazione dai filoni della grande tradizione popolare barocco-alessandrina italiana, di cui gli stucchi di Serpotta (Palermo), le produzioni di Capodimonte e le mangiatoie napoletane sono gli esempi tipici e ben noti.
Cappè coniuga la radice barocca con la tradizione popolaresca verista e con quella neoclassica, unendo a ciò un originale impegno verso l’invenzione umoristica.
Il verismo di Cappè ha già fatto storia: è riconoscibile e riconosciuto, ha raggiunto la perfezione di mestiere e la sigla di invenzione nell’ambito dell’alto artigianato creativo.
Cappè si formò come scultore alle dipendenze altrui, poi iniziò l’attività di produzione in proprio delle sue sculture a partire dal 1958.
Creò ininterrottamente durante tutta la sua vita circa 250 modelli e la scultura fu per lui il più grande motivo di vita, tanto da confondersene.
