French 19th Century Patinated Bronze Statue of Two Young Boys Fishing

About the Item

A charming and high quality French 19th century patinated bronze statue of two young boys fishing. The statue is raised by an oblong base with a fine ground like design with water flora growing next to impressive rocks and a tree trunk. One young boy is wearing shorts and a charming necklace holding his fishing net in the water while the other is standing by his side draped in a flowing fabric holding a spear with a bag at his side tied over his shoulder. Lovely subject matter and wonderful attention to detail. All original patina throughout.
