A sensual Art Deco bronze – “Bather” by Maurice Font, ca. 1925
This exquisite Art Deco sculpture captures the serene elegance of a kneeling nude bather, arms gracefully raised above her head in a moment of relaxation and beauty. Crafted around 1925 by Maurice Font, a French sculptor known for his refined decorative works, the piece embodies the spirit of the Roaring Twenties.
The dark patinated bronze has a silky sheen that enhances the sculptural quality and brings out the smooth curves of the female form. Finely modeled features and subtle anatomical precision create an aura of calm sensuality.
