Female nude in terracotta. Signed "St. Lami" on the base. Stanislas Lami is a French sculptor. Stamp mark "Terracotta - R. D'ARLY Paris". This work inspires purity and delicacy. The sculpture represents a kneeling naked woman, the features are fine and pleasant. The work is neat and delicate. The position of the woman calls for calm and tranquility. Our terracotta proof is a reduction of Stanislas Lami's marble entitled "Première Faute" which earned him the second medal at the Salon of 1891. The work represents a young woman kneeling, her arms modestly covering her face with closed eyes.
