Mesmerizing signed contemporary decorative porcelain mask, intricately hand painted on both sides. It's a signed masterpiece by award-winning master porcelain artist from Kutani region of Japan. He is highly admired for his extremely intricate and detailed porcelain work. In this exquisite mask this second generation porcelain artist introduces green, blue and yellow, some of traditional Kutani colors and patterns, continuing his work to cover the inside of the mask as well. This artist's profile is available upon request. In this elegant mask, the artist has showcased an extremely intricate auspicious karakusa pattern in traditional Kutani green and black on the outside and a traditional pattern in traditional Kutani yellow. The artist’s signature appears on the inside of the mask. This stunning porcelain mask comes in an elegant custom made wooden case signed by the artist. Dimensions: H 8 in W 5.5 in D 3 in.

A rare and large pate de verre molded sculpture of the mythological God Pan. Very thick and heavy; this glass piece is primarily bluish green with yellow, reds and orange. The likeness is uncanny with perfectly modeled facial features and traces of his goat horns. This piece was said to exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum in 1971 but there is no documentation.
