Modernist 20th Century Soviet Russian Nude Male Sculpture in Blackened Bronze

This sophisticated and alluring Mid-Century Modern Sculpture was realized in France circa 1950. Executed in terra cotta with a oil rubbed bronze colored glaze, the work presents an abstract and dynamic form- bristling with verve. An elongated form rises from an elliptical base offering both smooth and curvilinear aspects as well as faceted ones concluding in a curved tongue-like appendage with a pointed end.
