A monumental nude sculpture of a femme torso in bronze by Hattakitkosol Somchai, signed, circa 1970. A striking rarity of Somchai’s oeuvre, this piece stands at nearly twenty-six inches tall, her slightly deconstructed body jutting in different directions and yet as a whole, she is singular. Patches of patina throughout the bronze give her weight and gravitas. On the top of the right arm we espy Somchai’s signature as well as the edition number.
