About the Item
Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown dark transparent amber / olive with gold flecks Italian art glass woman farmer / gardener sculpture. The piece is attributed to designer, and Master glass artist Alfredo Barbini. The woman figure has a ruffled with puffy sleeves blouse, middle gold belt and long flared skirt. She stands on a clear glass base with a diamond quilted basket filled with olives or plums. The entire piece is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf throughout. Would make a great display piece on any console table or credenza. Mid-century era. The sculpture measures 12 1/4" tall x 6" long across the arms x 4 3/4" wide.
