Pair Of Children Italian Terracotta Sculptures Late 1800s

Pair Of Terracotta Children Late 1800s fragments probably part of a larger sculptural group, perhaps a fountain. These are busts of a child with his arm raised and an intimidated little girl shielding her face with one hand. Both resting on an iron stand, they are missing the lower part of the bust nevertheless these fragments of nineteenth-century terracotta sculptures have kept intact the characterful expression of faces with strong romantic connotations. Maximum overall dimensions are given; exact measurements are for her figure height cm. 41 (total with pedestal cm. 44) - width cm. 25 - depth cm. 30. For him height of figure cm. 34 (total with pedestal cm. 50.5) - width cm. 42 - depth cm. 18. The width of 67 cm is for the two figures side by side.
