A fine pair of Murano glass fruit figures. Designed by Romeo Gigli for Pauly & Co. In the form of a pomegranate. The body, stem end, and crown with gold inclusions and the seeds comprised of red, applied glass knops. Simply wonderful, high-level Italian glass design! Attributed to: Romeo Gigli (Designer) Compagnia Di Venezia E Murano (C.V.M.) (Manufacturer) Pauly & Co. (Retailer) Attributed to: Adriano dalla Valentina (Gaffer) Date: Late 20th Century Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: There is a subtly darker center to a several of the seeds (likely from annealing process). A round thick glass blown bowl with a clown supposedly underneath with a funny big smile. A clown as an ashtray can be placed in 2 positions.
